A few weeks ago, The Artful Parent posted about painting on windows with shaving cream. I had used shaving foam as an art medium with preschoolers way back when I was in university, and they loved it! Why hadn't I tried this with my own girls?! I bought a can of unscented, sensitive skin shaving foam and waited for the four o'clock madness to set in. What a perfect cure! So much fun!
Watching their distinct personalities emerge as they create is always a treat. My big girl is so organized and specific, using a paintbrush to neatly and completely cover the window with a thin, foamy coating. Wee One, on the other hand, began with the brush but swiftly discarded it in favor of immersing her hands in the foam, feeling it ooze between her fingers and wiping it artistically all over her smock before applying leftovers to the window (and the wall and my purse and...) in random spots.
Parents and carers: The extra-fabulous thing about foamy fun is the ease of clean-up. It rinses right off of hands, smocks and clothes with water. I thoroughly wet a tea towel and wiped everything else down once they were finished. I had to rinse it out a few times as I went, but that's all it took!
Genius!! x

Sophie and James will love it! You will too! It's a bit addictive once you get your hands in it. ;)
